The Start menu doesn't have a Run. However, right off the bat after sitting down to Vista I noticed I wanted to use Run. In reflection, I guess it got removed as it is a security risk? Anyway, it would be nice to have it back. I thought that if it was brought back, the system could ask permission - as it pretty much does for everything else - then offer a run box with a check-box for "Run as Adminstrator". If that is not allowed, the check-box could be greyed out.
Just an idea ..

Idea for Run
Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run
Also, you can right click it and pin to Start Menu. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

I don't like the new Windows Vista Start Menu, so I always change it back to the Classic Windows 2000 Start Menu by Right Clicking the Start Menu and selecting Properties, and selecting Classic Start Menu, Apply, Close.
